A Big Announcement!!! Rare Authorized Screening! The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights!!! Sunday, January 8th 2012! Schlafly Bottleworks Doors open at 7, screening at 8 PM
I am very proud to announce this film as the kick off to our 2012 Lineup of Culture Shock- A Film Series!
What a great way to start the year... on a cold, cold night!
For those of you who are White Stripes fans, you will appreciate the raw vibe of this outstanding rock-umentary as it follows the travels of the band during their 2007 tour of Canada to promote what was ultimately their last recorded album, Icky Thump.
Woven through some electrifying concert footage are rare, behind the scenes dialogues that give a glimpse of the dynamics of two people often seen, but not heard outside of performing.
In addition to scheduled tour dates, Jack & Meg shared their time and talent with the locals as they explored the Provinces of the Great White North. Playing random, free sideshows for audiences far removed from their typical listener base, they captured some great exchanges with all ages. In basic red, black and Jack White fashion this film has it all: classic cars, retro roadies and culture.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to see two world class artists at work on a non stop rock & roots adventure tour. Especially since you won't be seeing them tour anytime soon.
You can however, get the skinny and all the goods by going to Third Man Records, either in person in Nashville, TN or by cybertravel at www dot third man records dot com.
