"Culture Shock" is a proud sponsor of I AM EVIDENCE at St Louis International Film Festival on Wednesday November 8th @ 630 pm

As huge fans of the show Law & Order SVU, we are very proud to help bring Mariska Hargitay's film, I AM EVIDENCE to St. Louis.  It tells the story of the untested rape kit backlog in the US and the people who are working to help end it. Directed by Trish Adlesic and Geeta Gandbhir, it is being screened as part of the 26th Annual St. Louis International Film Festival.

The time felt right to step up and be sponsors of the festival for what this film means for victim's of sexual abuse. We want to do what we can to help end the rape kit backlog and give victims of unsolved sex crimes hope for justice and closure in their cases and light at the end of the tunnel in the healing process.

We are dedicating our support of this screening to the memory of my mom and Mia's grandmother, Joanne F. Barnes, who was not just a big fan of the show Law & Order SVU, she was also a victim of sexual abuse as a child.  Since we started this film series as a way to raise funds and awareness for our kids project, Helping Kids Together, we are rolling out our new program Street Smart later this month to help kids learn how to defend themselves and to not be afraid to speak up against sexual predators.

Thank you to our Co-Sponsor Safe Connections for helping us bring this film to St. Louis and thank you to Cinema St Louis for the opportunity to be a sponsor.

Please support us in our endeavors to help spread the message behind this film and watch it with us at Frontenac Cinema on Wednesday November 8th at 630 pm.

I AM EVIDENCE has won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Film at both the Provincetown and Traverse City Film Festivals so let's all help it win an award in St Louis too. The theater holds 170 people so help us reach our goal of selling it out and making another win for this documentary.

Click the pic for more details.  You can purchase your tickets in advance through SLIFF so don't wait!  Thank you for your support~
